When I was writing my Master’s thesis on the art of writing quality children’s literature, I interviewed Laura Numeroff, who wrote the beloved series starting with “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie”. "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" might be our family fav. She was so gracious to sit and chat with me about her craft. Her books have been favorites of mine both in my elementary classrooms, and with my own boys, when they were little.
I think the next one in the series should be “If You Give a Mom a Margarita”.What do ya think? Love how Scholastic is celebrating this day. Take a look…
