Caramel Apple Pops Recipe
What You'll Need
- 2 Apples (Makes 4 pops)
- Caramels
- Chocolate melting candies
- Your favorite sprinkles
- Lollipop sticks
Directions
- Cut each apple in half, starting at the stem.
- Use a melon baller or grapefruit spoon to scoop out any seeds and make a space for the caramel. (A tip from a friend: brush a little orange juice or lemon juice on the apple halves to keep them from browning)
- Place a handful of caramels into a bowl, along with one teaspoon of water, and microwave for 30-45 seconds. When the caramel is melted, be sure it stir it a few times.
- Place the lollipop sticks through the bottom of the apple, and make sure they reach all the way into the well you've dug into the apple.
- Spoon about a tablespoon of caramel into each apple well, then place them in the refrigerator to cool for about five minutes, or until the caramel is hardened.
- While your caramel is cooling, place a cup of chocolate melting candies into a bowl and microwave for about a minute, stirring halfway through. Remove the bowl from the microwave, and take the apples out of the refrigerator.
- Dip each apple half into the chocolate, then decorate with your favorite sprinkles!
- When you're finished decorating your apple pops, let them cool in the fridge for about five minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
