My son adopted Carmello (Mello) in May of 2007. He gave him to us , his parents ater about 5 months because he was unable to care for him. Mello is a super happy, well behaved spoiled lab mix. He is doing great and has a perfect dog's life. My son now lives back at home and we are all together and Mello is so happy.

Well Sadie is now two years old and a big joy to our family. We adopted her in april of 2007, the "B" litter, her name was Beatix (Border collie mix). We really missed WWR not being able to have a 2008 picnic, looking forward to the 2009 one. Hope all of Sadies siblings will be there. Again thank you WWR for helping out these wonderful animals so we were able to adopt our loving dog, Sadie.

Looking for information on any litter mates from the 9-28-07 adoption at Petco for the "G" litter - Lab and Bull Mastiff mix group of puppies. We have Gage - We love him - we have never had a dog that has so much personality. Just wondering what his littermates are like. Also wondering if the litter was Lab/Border Collie mix. He is very hyper. Lots and lots of fun :)

January 5, 2009 Hi! One month ago, you knew me as Bentley. I wanted to give you an update on how I’m doing. My name is Sam now, and I have a big sister (Maggie) who is 2½ years old. (Maggie was also adopted from WrightWay.) Both of us are lab mixes. I am housebroken, and already know how to sit, stay (sometimes!), off, and lay down. I start kindergarten in a month. I have a very big fenced-in yard that I like very much. I like to chase tennis balls and my big sister Maggie. Well, gotta run … Maggie wants to go outside and play! Just wanted you to know I love my forever family and home.

We adopted our high energy Rat Terrier, April, from Wright Way in March of 2005 as a very small puppy (she slept in a towel lined shoe box on her first ride to her new home). She just turned four years old, and is a smart, playful, loving companion! We always tell friends about your fabulous organization. Congratulations on your new facility --- and keep up the good work!

Hi! I adoped a 2-year old shitzu (who was named Kaboodle) a few weeks ago. She was very skittish, but each day gets a little braver. She was crate trained, but is already house trained. She sleeps in her litttle bed on my bed. I tried a lot of names, but she her ears perked up at Isabella. Her foster mother, Marcy, gave her a great start. She might need another playmate soon! Thanks Wrightway for rescuing this beautiful pup!

We adopted Bella (formalley gigi) about a little less than a year ago. When we adopted her, her former owners had abandoned her and left her to starve. She was all skin and bones with a big loving heart. Now Bella has gained weight and dominates her much bigger husky brother Bandit!!! She is a very sweet dog and loves to lay right on top of me or her dad when we watch tv! She has not one mean bone in her body and we are very lucky to have found her!

from Romee (aka Romeo) adopted Jan, 2008. Chihuaha/terrier mix. I am doing fine in my new home. My first month was a little rough, but mom and dad did not give up on me. I get along fine with my fur step -brother. We occasionally chase each other, but I just not sure on how to play. I had 4 teeth pulled and now I put on 2 LBs. I love sleeping with my fur step-brother on mom and dad's bed at night. I am certainly enjoying the good life. I hope my brother Rusty is just as lucky. Romee

He getting very big, and he is such a joy to have. Taz is a very outgoing puppy, and he loves to be around mommy and daddy. He is doing very good, and his health is excellent. We we looking forward to the reunion picnic this year, but weather did not permit. Our little guy is the best thing that we have done, and if and when we decide to get another dog, Wright Way will be the only place that we get one. I highly recommend adopting from Wright Way, the staff is wonderful, and the animals are treated with great care and loved until they are found a new home. Well, I hope everyone that adoped a Wright Way pet is happy, and if anyone from the "D" litter is out there please let us know how Taz's littler mates are doing. Thank you Wright Way, we love our addition to the family.

We adopted "Kai" from an adoption event around december 14 2006, at the Vernon Hills Petco. Can I please tell you how absolutely amazing she is!?!? Unbelievable!!! She absolutely loves life. Even more than that she loves her frisbee, playing outside, swimming, and going for walks. She is the smartest dog we have ever known. She is a queen in our home. Every night she is welcomed into whomever's bed she chooses and she stays under the covers and on a pillow the whole night! Currenty we our trying to get Kai and a recently adopted kitten acquanted. As usual, Kai is being the friendly one, and the kitten is being the scared/mean one! But we love them both and we our so very greatful that we came to the adoption event that cold December day. I could go on for hours talking about her, as we do every day, but I'll stop here! Thank you again for the loving care she received at WWR before she became a member of our family!!

We adopted Wonder in 2/05. Wonder is a Beagle/Hound mix and a parvo survivor. We didn't change her Wright-Way name. Wonder is a very happy, sociable dog. She loves everyone from babies to seniors! Wonder has become an important visitor at my Mom's nursing home - she has made many seniors smile. The seniors may not remember what they had for breakfast but they do remember Wonder's name. Wonder is a very important member of our family!

Message From: Hawkeye & Family August 6, 2008
Hi, Hawkeye here, previously known as Ace. I went to my forever home in July. And I LOVE my new Mom and Dad. And my new sister Gabby is great. We're best pals. We also have this cat that's really fun to chase, but Mom doesn't like it when I do that. I have a great yard to play in, a huge bed to lay on and all the love I could ask for. And tons of toys. I love to pull them all out of the basket so Mom has to pick them up each night. Hehe. And on the weekends my sister and I go to Grandma and Grandpa's house in the country with Mom and run and play with their dog all day! I love it here!!!! We're working on 'clicker training' and learning how to listen to Mom and Dad. Mom says I'm becomeing such a good boy with lots of manners, but I still need work on a few things. But I don't mind cause I get lots of cookies during 'training'. :) And Mom says I'm just the sweetest boy and how she loves me lots! Thanks for rescuing me Wrightway and getting me to my forever home!

The beautifl people at Wright Way blessed our family with a new member and we ar eso thankful. Hera (formally known as Leda) is such a cuddle bunny. She is doing great with walking on the leash, letting you know when she has to potty and giving the kids a great chase around the house only to steal some kisses when she catches them. After that, its a nap with mommy. I just want you all to know that you have been a blessing to so many. Our dog is the light of our life.

We thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for rescuing this little girl. She shows us every day how grateful she is to be with us. We love her so much. HI I have been watching your website for some time now. I have researched many shelters, and their websites. Yours is by far the best!!! I don't know who does this, but I can see why you are successful. I already have two golden retrievers and have been thinking of adding a new addition to my canine family. Your website caught my eye, and it is probably a good thing I live quite a ways away!! lol I definetly will adopt a rescue this time around. Checking your site, is daily for me now, and I hope to visit soon. You have done a wonderful job of updating daily. Sometimes it is just nice to get a compliment when you do a good job.
