Interested in making a difference in the lives of homeless animals?

Whether you walk dogs, asist with adoptions, clean kennels, stuff envelopes for an educational mailing or assist with a fundraising event, you can make a difference in the lives of animals. When you give animals the gift of your time, you'll get back as much as you give—maybe even more.

Your support enables our efforts of saving animals lives to continue. Volunteers are needed to help in all avenues of rescue including animal care, off-site adoption events, our foster program, and fundraising events. Your donated time helps us rescue and find homes for even more animals!

The first step to becoming a WWR volunteer is to fill out a volunteer application in person at our Adoption Center in Niles IL or at our Intake & Qurantine Facility in Murphysboro IL (Southern IL location). Once your application is reviewed a volunteer with contact you. At this point you will be invited to attend our next volunteer orientation which are held approximatley every 8 weeks. During this orientation perspective volunteers will be introduced to Wright-Way Rescue and will be able to learn about the various volunteer opportunities available. Training for specific job duties will be scheduled and you will then be able to sign up to help volunteer as often as you would like!

At this time we ask that all volunteers be 18 or older. A youth volunteer program is in the planning stages and we hope to be able to offer volunteer opportunitied to those who are between the ages of 13 and 17 in the very near future.
